MISSION 11: THE INFERNO
Operation: Cannibal

OPERATION: CANNIBAL
DATE: 1995/06/01
TIME: 23:10
AREA: Hoffnung
LOCATION: 025°38'10" N 237°28'58" E

Briefing:
The Belkan forces are beginning to take flight.

The industrial city of Hoffnung is crucial to the enemy's industrial strategy and the heart of its war productions. The Allied Forces have decided that all Belkan war production must be stopped to expedite the end of the war, and has requested our participation in this operation. The operation will primarily involve the bombing of ground facilities by the Allied Forces' bombers. Your mission is to support those bombers and attack enemy facilities. We have achieved near total air supremacy over the area, but don't let your guard down. There may still be sporadic resistance.

Who changed Galm to Garm? :/ Just go with the game's spelling, not like we change Razgriz to rathgrith or some silly "actual" translation.

Of course I can't properly edit thanks to some awful word filter placed in as a joke.

Am I the only one that finds The Inferno somewhat disturbing in nature?

Well, The Inferno is far more disturbing because your escortees have decided to simply raze Hoffnung to the ground, city and all, with no regard for civilians whatsoever. That, and most of the targets are either simple buildings or Belkans who only want to get out of the city. Seriously man, Ace Combat went too far.

...and then there's The Stage of Apocalypse.

What are you talking about? This mission is the best in ACZ. They put alot of intensity in this mission. The music, the radio chatters. I even sig quoted the best thing the allied forces said throughout the whole game. I don't think this was controversal since it was modeled after WWII bombing raids.

Our biochem corpus is far advanced as their's. Our Electronic Old Men and their "flexibility" has allowed us to make progress in the mythical city on the hills

Have to say, first time playing this mission on a Mercenary run gave me chills and a bit of guilt, especially when I was destroying the yellow targets.
