Geography
Located nearby Comberth Harbor on south-eastern of Usea Continent, Payton Channel is specially established as on-water transportation passage between north and south seas. It has been generally used for pass-through water transportation and shipping route.

Pre-Usean Continental War
In 1996, during a time of high tensions between the FCU and Erusia, the FCU Armed Forces commenced a reduction of FCU Forces near Erusian territory in hopes of reducing these tensions. As the FCU 6th Naval Squadron's flagship Aircraft Carrier "Fort Grace", with its accompanying AEGIS-class cruiser "Teetime" and other forces pulled out from the Republic of Amber and the Independent State of Ugellas, they passed through the Payton Channel

Operation St. Elmo's Fire
During the Usean Rebellion, in order to take out the Rebel Force, a break-through-channel operation was ordered by the Unified Forces and Scarface Squadron was assigned an escort operation of deep strike mission into Rebel's territory carried by an allied mobile fleet through Payton Channel. At that time, the channel was defended by Rebel guns and artillery as well as its air force. Even though the allied convoy took several damages, the operation was once again successful thanks to Scarface One for his effort.
