Operation: Bunker Shot
- ISAF's ground landing on the Usean Southern mainland -
OPERATION: Bunker Shot
DATE: 2005/01/24
TIME: 17:00
AREA: Halle / Crowne / Caranda Beach
LOCATION: ---
Briefing:
The troops are regrouped and ready to reclaim lost territory from the Erusians in the amphibious Operation Bunker Shot. The plan requires our forces to follow an extremely narrow and vulnerable path from the landing site to the inland objective. This path allows the enemy to concentrate their fire, and provides them with a distinctive advantage. However, this route lies out of Stonehenge's effective range. Your mission is to reduce troop casualties at the beach landing sites.

Our biochem corpus is far advanced as their's. Our Electronic Old Men and their "flexibility" has allowed us to make progress in the mythical city on the hills

There is a good example in ACZ. Which is "Bastion", in which that Cipher, Pixy, and some other units from UAF assaults Glatisant, which is the first defense line of Belka, and a speculated nuclear warhead storage facility under poor weather conditions. However, that mission is not a beach assault, but rather an air interdiction mission.
And man, it seems that the first mission that involves an offensive to the enemy (OBS, Lit Fuse, and Bastion) are cliched in one element-The bad weather, which is present in all those missions.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."-Marianne Williamson, from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

This ain't a sim, remember. Lightning's not a hazard to you. So does bomb blasts at low altitude.
