The Flying Fortress was the ultimate, top-secret and well-hidden super-weapon of the terrorist force that waged out war against a small country somewhere on the mid 90s. The specs of this gigantic aircraft were never revealed, however, it is known that it had a considerable firepower. Armed with heavy and highly accurate anti-air guns and missile launchers, the Fortress had also the ability to carry on and launch in midair a small unit of fighter aircraft's, this super-plane truly deserved its nickname of "The Flying Fortress".

Just when the mercenary aces force managed to take over the terrorist's headquarters, military Intelligence discovered the existence of the Flying Fortress, however, it was too late to try to stop it on ground. The Fortress was already on its way to launch a massive assault to obliterate the capital city. The mercenary aces scrambled to intercept it before it reached its target. They reached it over territorial waters, and a fierce air battle erupted between the aces, the fortress and the enemy aces that were escorting the gigantic aircraft.

In the end, after a hard, fierce dogfight, the mercenary aces prevailed, and the Flying Fortress, along with the terrorist's last forces, fell in flames to the ocean.

A random plane between a YF-22 (Called F-22 here) or Su-35 (Called Su-27 here) will constantly spawn indefinately from this ugly thing every time you kill one...like the F-15S's in Fortress Intolerance in AC02.

Pics be mine....

As for the spawning enemies.....they are always F-22s. Quite nasty to deal with too on harder difficulties since you have the Fortress spamming missiles at you at the same time as well. Hence the missile warning on one of the shots I took, lol.

What bothers me about this accursed thing is that you could only disable it's missile launchers and AA guns. Also, when you're facing this thing on Hard mode, you're pretty much stuck to doing hit and run tactics against it.

You also have to keep your distance when destroying the engines, too close and they'll smash right into you.

I guess you never really do forget your first...

It ended up here, so it must be pretty important. I wouldn't know; I haven't played anything before AC4 yet.

Nemo is a computer. Nuff said. Ever played a game with an unbalanced AI that can snipe you from the other side of the map using a pistol and makes you rage? That's Nemo.

lol XD
i dont think so, because AC1 is low cuality to see any window. And, the size of the Airborne Fortress is so big, and the windows maybe looks microscopick XD

My guess is that the light colored area on top of the fuselage is the cockpit. They prolly had some issues re: making things look like a cockpit, hell even the fighters you fly in have some shade of blue for a cockpit.

I've read in the Internet that Namco stated that the Airborne Fortress is actually a smaller, more versatile version of the XB-0 Hresvelgr. Can anyone please confirm?

The ABF is way larger than the XB-0, at least 2x possibly 3x the size of the XB-0. But its hard to tell due to the graphic limitations of the PSX. If someone could extract the ABF model from the game data that might help.

I have but I can only open one model at a time with the tools I have and their are thousands of models. if I could scroll though each or could preview them that would help. I could also upload them all and see if anyone wanted to go through them like sky crawlers
