Laser Cannon

X-49 Firing A - X-49 Firing B

ORIGIN: (Real World)
----

GAMES FEATURED IN:
Ace Combat 03: Electrosphere

COMPATIBLE AIRCRAFT
X-49 Night Raven, XR-900 Geopelia

OVERVIEW:
This weapon is presumed to be developed alongside the X-49 Night Raven, by the General Resource "Darkness of Enigma" development team between 2028 and 2033. Though the Laser Cannon was compact and light enough to be deployed on an aircraft, it was extremely powerful, thanks to the utilization of the Aeonosphere. Thanks to the utilization of the Aeonosphere, the Laser Cannon's power output could be raised to extreme levels. In 2040, the Laser Cannon deployed on the X-49 was used to destroy the sea fairing city Megafloat with a single shot. Though the prototype was completed, a production version was never produced, due to the closure of Project Night Raven in 2036 and the destruction of all Neucom imitations in 2040.

SPECIFICATIONS
Power: 100+%
Reload Speed: 0%
Accuracy: 100%

A doubt: Why if the Neucom develop this laser its give that laser to the best plane of its rival?
Abd the X-49 project wasn´t top secret?

As it would seem no one has built a XR-900 model yet, I'm curious if the emitter is the port in front of the cockpit. Going by 13bspec's X-45 model, its emitter is on the lower chin(right?). Since the Geopelia has the same design team, does it have improvements? Just wondering, Brad

The Laser Cannon in both X-49 and XR-900 aircraft dealts the smae damage to any opponent, but it some cutscenes that Laser Cannon is extremely powerful since it utilizes Aeon technology. Of course Namco limited this, but c'mon it'd be fun to destroy the entire Usean continent. laugh.gif tongue.gif
On a side note, the difference between the Geopelia and Night Raven is that the Geopelia the more performance wise and flexible aircraft with weaponry because of its heavier weapons load, but for epicness, the Night Raven all the way. rolleyes.gif

And the X-49 is more stable, more bad arse looking, and faster because the XR-900 only has 6 engines where as the X-49 has 8.

Well, to my eyes the Geopelia has looks on its side, although if I'm not mistaken they have the same speed

Nope. The Geopelia's max speed was around 4'100 km/h, whereas the Raven's was 4'600 km/h.

We're starting to get off topic, with no one really commenting on the laser's position. But since we're here, is there any source that says how much of the '900's wing is active aeroelastic? Thanks, Brad
