GRISWALL
- the Capital of Aureila -

An aerial battle image of Griswall (LAF: AA/AA/2020)

Geography:
Griswall is the Aurelian capital city that rests on eastern Aurelia's north-eastern coast. A river lined with naval, industrial docks, and river-side parks, crisscrossed by city streets, runs through the capital. Almost directly west of the city, the foothills of Mount Breeze begin to take shape. The foothills of Mount Nervera also start near the capital city’s outskirts. The capital city of Aurelia is bisected into two major sections: Old Town and New Town. New Town is surrounded by the world’s largest Synchrotron particle accelerator. At the center of New Town the Gaiuss Tower stands above all other structures in Griswall. Gaiuss Tower, a symbol of peace and unity for Aurelia and a widely recognizable structure, is also one of the tallest buildings in the world.

Leasath-Aurelia War:

Background:
The city was overrun in 2020 by Leasath Forces and was quickly fortified by the occupying troops. From Griswall, Commander Diego Caspar Navarro commanded his troops that occupied Aurelia, as the continued to push through the country. The Gaiuss Tower in the middle of the city for personal ceremonies and parties during the time that the city is occupied.

Liberation of Griswall:
After a string of defeats and the loss of the Gleipnir, the Leasath forces in Griswall were under threat of siege by the reorganized Aurelian military. Meson Cannons were deployed in Griswall in order to fortify defenses around the subjugated capital. The Atmos Ring was also utilized as a defensive shield. The capital was eventually sieged by the Aurelian Gryphus and Ninox Squadrons, Aurelian Ground Forces and the Aurelian Liberation Corps, despite the defenses put in place by the Leasath Military. Before the capital was retaken, Commander Navarro managed to flee from the city to the Leasath High Security Military Compound, Archelon Fortress, in the Daren Straits.

There is no Garuda Squadron in the Aurelian Air Force. It would be sieged by Gryphus and Ninox squadrons, Victor Regiment and the Aurelian Liberation CORPS.

No, it's 3000 ft. If you fly at the very top in between the two tower segments, your altitude will say 3000 (or something like that).

3000 ft, that's about 0.57 miles, think Burj Dubai height only a tad taller.

And if whatever math's left in my brain is still uncorrupted, I have determined if you jump off the top of the building, it'll take you about 20 seconds to hit the ground. That's a ****ing lot.

If a Leasthian plane crash into this thing, it would have been 9/11 again but 5 times more horrible ohmy.gif .

Nah, they reinforced it a LOT so that a plane wouldn't penetrate the surface. I don't know how, but they did. I know this because I've crashed into Gaiuss Tower multiple times, and it barely even scratched it.

Err... unless ACX had uber-realistic damage physics, methinks that any building ingame would stay intact.

You can crash into any building in any Ace Combat game, it would still be intact.

Though as far as it is concerned, and I'm only saying this because I don't have the game, but i think that if a building can survive a t least 4 missiles, it can survive a plane. I doubt the Gaiuss Tower can survive that many hits, so I say yeah, it would be 9/11 x5.
