Stratosphere
- HIGH-ALTITUDE INTERCEPTION -

LOCATION:
White Valley

BRIEFING:
Neuwork R-531 Mobura heavy transports are preparing to attack a GRDF base in White Valley. The problem is, that they're travelling at very high altitudes; putting them out of reach of normal fighters. The only way to bring them down is to use the RF-12A2 "Blackbird" stratofighter.

PARTIES:
Friendly: UPEO
Friendly: GRDF
Hostile: Neuwork

ENEMIES:
6 x R-531 Mobura (Target)
8 x R-311 Remora

OVERVIEW:
Neuwork had launched an attempted air raid on a GRDF base, using Mobura high-altitude transports, carrying Remora "Parasite" fighters. The GRDF had provided a RF-12A2 stratofighter to the UPEO to combat the high flying Moburas. The UPEO was successful in repelling the Neuwork raid.

NeuCom = NeuWork in this version...and it's only GR friendly in JP...but I guess you knew lookin' at the way you coloured GR's name. tongue.gif

And I find it quite funny how your RF-12A2 automatically stalls right at the start of the level.

Btw, which one d'you think the RF-12A2 is more based on? The YF-12 or SR-71? It has the -71's bodyframe but the codename is more like the -12's...plus some prototype -12s had weapons, the prototype -71s never had them.

The YF-12 = SR-71....... rolleyes.gif

The YF-12 was a fighter prototype of the A-12 which was used for both the SR-71 and YF-12A. The Airframe is pretty much the same except for the Internal Missile bay and the nose for the radar.
