Geography:
The Puna Plains area surrounding the Leasath Forward Air Base are an arid, flat, desert-like region in central Aurelia.


Leasath - Aurelia War:
This area of the Puna Plains was the site of a hastily-constructed Leasath Forward Air Base. This forward deployed point acted as a resupply base for Leasath Bombers and extended the attack range of Leasath Bomber Squadrons. Puna Base was responsible for the air raids in Southern Aurelia near Aubrey Air Base. The base itself housed several B-52H Stratofortress bombers, C-5B Galaxy cargo planes, F-5E Tiger IIs, A-6E Intruders , AH-64 Apaches, and F-4E Phantom IIs.

The base was heavily damaged in an attack by surviving Aurelian forces, spearheaded by Gryphus 1. The base and all of its contents were utterly annihilated. All bomber, transport and fighter aircraft were decimated. Leasath forces subsequently abandoned the base, and Aurelia took over. The base then served as a forward GHQ for further offensives by the Aurelian military into Northern Aurelia.
