Geography:
The Aurelian Sachana AFB is surrounded by forested rolling hills that make up the Kalana Steppes. Two rivers also run through the region.

Leasath - Aurelia War:
Sachana Air Base is Aurelia's largest air base, located deep within a thick forest known as Raven Woods. Its location is a critical strategic point for both Aurelian and Leasath operations due to its reach into both countries. The airbase was captured by Leasath in early 2020, at the start of the Leasath-Aurelia war. The Leasath military placed their elite Skylla anti-aircraft unit at Sachana Air Base to add to their defenses. The airbase itself acted as the spring board for the Leasath invasion forces as the headed deeper into Aurelia.

In late 2020, Gryphus 1 launched a night strike mission to retake Sachana AFB. Despite the prescence of the Skylla Unit, aircraft at the airbase were destroyed. The base was under Aurelian control by the next morning. Sachana, under Aurelian control, supported all Aurelian Offensive operations into Northern Aurelia and even into the Daren Islands, in Leasath.

In an alternative scenario, the Skylla Unit leaves Sachana AFB, leaving an infantry unit specialized in jungle warfare with the task of defending it, in addition to the other forces at the base. A daytime assault operation is launched by the Aurelian military, with airborne troops. Gryphus 1 is tasked with the defense of the helicopters transporting the troops, and successfully neutralizes RPG fire by the Leasathian troops and all anti-air weapons at the base, thus clearing the way for the assault. The assault is successful, and thus Sachana AFB is reclaimed.

The forest is known as the Raven Woods, and they surround Sachana AFB on all sides. The second way to do the mission is visit the Kalana Steppes, let the Skylla Unit move to Mt. Nevera, and escort a helicopter unit to the base while protecting them from RPGs. Keep helicopter unit DMG to a minimum, and you are awarded the Air Guardian medal.
