THE JILACHI DESERT
- Yuktobanian Central Desert

Geography
The environment of this harsh and desolate landscape is relatively featureless. The only two features are the Semya River and a few desert farms. During the Circum-Pacific War, there were two Yuktobanian defensive lines setup in this desolate landscape ahead of the advancing Osean Army and Air Force as they pushed their way through the Bostok Peninsula and to the very “heart” of Yuktobania. When the Osean Forces reached the Jilachi Desert area, they formed two pairs of fighting forces to capture the Yuktobanian defensive positions and forward airbases.

Operation Desert Arrow
The first pair of Osean offensive ground and bomber groups is dispatched along with the 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron (Wardog) in the northern area of the Jilachi Desert. Their orders were to capture the Yuktobanian forward airbase and the Yuktobanian Field Headquarters. This part of the Jilachi Desert is a barren and an inhospitable landscape. There are a few farmers in the area along one of the main desert highways that run near the edge of the desert. The type of crops that they are growing is unknown, possible wheat or other grains for the people of Yuktobania. There is evidence that a river ran through the Jilachi Desert and dried up in the previous centuries. This small river possibly flowed into the Semya River and to provide irrigation for these farmers.

This aerial image of N. Jilachi Desert shows us some of the farms that are still in operation.

Operation Desert Lightning
The second pair of Osean offensive ground and air forces focused on capturing the southern Jilachi airbase and other strategic facilities. Wardog Squadron also participated in this offensive campaign too. The southern area of the Jilachi Desert is even more desolate as you travel further south into the Jilachi Desert. Some of the returning Yuktobanian soldiers returning from this region of the desert describe it as, “a hell on Earth.” In the mist of this “oven”, there is a paradise. One of the many major rivers, the Semya River winds its way down from the Javoronok Highlands, through the southern part of the Jilachi Desert and flows down to the coast and empties somewhere into the Pacific Ocean. This region offers one of the richest places within the borders of Yuktobania, several oil refineries sit on top of the vast deposits of crude oil. It is unknown on how long the Yuktobanians have established these refineries. This is one of the reasons that the Oseans have targeted this region in order to “starve” the Yuktobanian military forces of fuel and to force the Yuktobanians to retreat and to setup defensive positions near their capital city for the last battle for their nation.

Just wondering, has anyone else found the Pac-man ghost in Desert Arrow?

I'd seen the ghost but I had no chance to get the pic.

I apologize if Ribbons and Contributors are the only members allowed to post here, but isn't it found on coordinates 5,9 of the battle area? (5=x, or south side, and 9=y, or west side. So, the ghost would be found, if one was to fly north, 5 squares east and 9 squares north)

^I am totally unsure of the post above.

Also, we need someone to go through and play both missions in this area and get better information. We need more info about the battles.
